Keep in mind, I'm only running a GTX 650 on a laptop so I'm pretty happy with I'm able to do this. Now that I added ARK to that list, I can play on 'Medium' graphics with reduced ground clutter and no sky clutter without experiencing any lag, and the game looks pretty good now. I've only been playing locally but I forgot to add ARK to the list initially and could either render in 'High' graphics mode with significant lag, or in 'Low' for real-time game play - Basically meaning in order to play I had to look at mono-color brontosaurus legs. I typically keep my global settings to 'autoselect' so my dedicated GPU doesn't start up un-necessarily. If someone can test whether the 'Base Profile' or Vegas works better for ARK, please post If you don't see a selection option your computer should already be using the NVIDIA card.Īlso, it seems that the newer cards are using Sony's Vegas software for CUDA acceleration. Click 'Apply' and enjoy greatly boosted ARK performance If you've selected 'Autoselect' go to the 'Program Tab' and 'Add' ARK (it's listed as Shootergame.exe I believe, it will have the ARK Icon).Ħ. If it is set to something else change it to one of the two I've listed.Ĥ. Check your global setting (main portion of the screen) it should be set to your NVIDIA card, Autoselect/Autodetect - if you have a newer card you might try the Vegas Pro. Select 'Manage 3D Settings' (on the left-hand side)ģ. If you haven't already, PLEASE do the following settings check for your NVIDIA Card:Ģ.
